From Norton-Lambert's Update Page Service Pack Installation Instructions Note: Print this page before downloading the Service Pack. The Service Pack addresses some issues Close-Up V6.5 has had in the past with newer software and hardware. The Service Pack will only work with Close-Up Version 6.5, and does not apply to earlier versions of Close-Up. To install the Close-Up V6.5 Service Pack 1: 1. PRINT THIS INSTRUCTION PAGE. 2. Download the cup65sp1.exe file to your Close-Up directory (default install directory is C:\CLOSUP65). Click on the link at the bottom of this page, and save the file to your disk drive. Select the Close-Up folder (C:\CLOSUP65) as the location to save the file to. 3. Disconnect from the Internet, and exit all other programs. 4. Open a full screen DOS prompt. Go to the Start Button -> Programs -> MS DOS Prompt. Then change directories to the Close-Up directory. The default would be to type in: C:\WINDOWS>cd\closup65 5. In the Close-Up directory, type in: C:\CLOSUP65>cup65sp1.exe This will extract the service pack files. 6. To run the Service Pack for Close-Up V6.5, type in: C:\CLOSUP65>update This will update your Close-Up V6.5 files, and automatically run the Close-Up Setup program. Follow the instructions in the Setup program to complete the update. 7. Exit the DOS prompt (by typing in "exit") after Setup completes. Additional instructions and information is available in the readme.1st file. DO NOT re-run the Install program from the Close-Up V6.5 diskette as this will overwrite the updated files. Note: It is recommended that you save the Service Pack file (cup65sp1.exe) to a diskette, and keep with your original Close-Up V6.5 diskette.
