Uni-Select Direct Newprice Installation Procedure

 Find your region above and click on your pricing group.  When you select to download the pricing file, you will be prompted for your username and password.  Call Janco Support for your codes if you do not know them. Download the file to your desktop. Double click on the icon it just made on your Desktop and press Unzip.

• Go to Inventory, then Newprice to clean off old new price files from your system so that we can be sure you are installing just the current price files. 

To do this, do the following:

• Go to the NewPrice Batch option

Ensure under Newprice Option you choose Delete and that the date in the Check Date is set to Before and then choose today�s date. Click on Check All which is the green check mark next to the date field.

The folder pathname should be the default path for Enterprise: c:\stwin\jsi_inv

• Click on the Delete Files button at the bottom.

• If you have any old price files on your system, this step will remove them and ensure that you are installing the current price files.

Now we are ready to install the Uniselect Direct Pricing.

Uniselect Direct Pricing

• From the Main Menu, select Inventory

• Select NewPrice then Create NewPrice from Uniselect

• You should have a file that looks similar to this:

The 050301 signifies March 1, 2005. Double click on that file. 

Next the Uniselect Create Newprice screen will appear and the window will fill in with all the Manufacturers that we find in the pricing file.  As they appear, the manufacturers that you currently have installed in your system will already have a check mark next to them.

At this time, please review this list and make sure that all the price files that you want installed in this system have a check mark next to them.

Once this is complete, click on the Create button in the upper right part of the screen.  This will actually create all the new price files for you from the master Uniselect file for your later installation. Exit that window when it is completed, and go back to Newprice, and Newprice Batch.

Ensure under Newprice Option you choose Install and that the date in the Check Date is correct (if the new prices are dated today, then you have to choose either �Before� tomorrow�s date or �After� yesterday�s date to pick up the files for today). See example on next page. Click on Check All  which is the green check mark next to the date field.

Next, verify what is set for the Default Profile. That is the profile it will be using for all of the new price files unless you specify different ones on each file. Click on the 3 dots at the end of the field, highlight the profile and click Edit. Go through the different tabs and verify it is updating what you want it to update. Once it is correct you select Save at the bottom and overwrite the profile and press Select on it.  You will then press Install Files at the bottom.  It will then start the Installation process!   Press Done when it is finished.  After that the new price installation is complete!
