Janco International can probably provide you with your part number inventory file already built! We have been working with the major parts suppliers for over 15 years and have provided dealers with reliable price updates and catalogs for many years. If you don't see your vendor on this page, contact us, and if the data is available on tape or on diskette, we can probably convert the data and provide you with price and catalog updates.
Although most vendors can provide us with part information, most do t print their own catalogs, so they don't have access to catalog data that they can provide to us. Janco can convert most electronic catalog data files if we have access to them, however, if there is a demand for a particular catalog, and the data isn't availabe in electronic form, then each vehicle must be hand-keyed into the computer. This requires hundreds, sometimes thousands of hours.
There has been a push for an industry "data exchange" electronic catalog format for a number of years, and with the help of the AIAA (Automotive Parts and Accessories Association) it is finally reaching fruition. Janco, as well as most of the major automotive parts manufacturers, have joined this association, who has developed data exchange formats which will result in a standard catalog file format for the industry.
