StockTrac�
will let you assign up to 4 parts as Alternates. This can be
either a different part from another supplier, or a combination
of parts to make another part. In our example screen above, we
replaced a welded muffler/tailpipe assembly with four other
parts, a muffler, tailpipe, a couple of clamps and a flange
gasket. Now when you sell this part, instead of using the OEM
part, it will tell the technicians to use the assembled parts
instead, and price the job using the prices for these parts.
In addition, StockTrac�
will let you assign up to 4 parts as supersessions, and another 4
parts as cross-reference parts. This is helpful, for example, if
you use a local vendor for brake parts, but always use the Bendix
numbering system.
